Nice piece, I like the distinctive style in your characters- they're like cute little dolls. But that wasn't what I wanted to say; i love the dreamy forest scenery!

f

Hmm not sure that I like the spatter of red '+' and 'x' and the red checkered patterns, but I like the rest of the murky grayish color scheme.

f

How quirky~ I really like the girl- She looks like she could be on some really cute stationery. ^^

f

I'm a fan of traditional media, really awesome job with the acrylics. I wish I could see this in person.

ageha still has to be my favorite piece from you but this is very impressive, especially for a first finished experimental painting. The primary color scheme may be a bit one dimensional for my taste but I like the powerful imagery. And love your contours - you have formidable technical skills.

Not to say that your earlier works were bad, but you seem to have improved exponentially. ^^ How exciting! I look forward to seeing more of your work!

f

What a lovely piece- It has a character all its own.. The overlay of colors, the complementary color scheme, the unconventionally bright and murky night setting, the cute little blobs of snow, the abstracted body and slightly artificial pose, the neatly placed clouds.. It's adorable. ^^

f

I was looking through my favorites page (all one page of it) and came to take another look- this is so gorgeous. ^^

f

What happened to your old avatar..? I see a little person in black wildly shaking his badongkadonk.

I have no idea what the title means, something about a flower, but the lines are very beautiful. Lovely piece. ^^

Quote by saikusaWould it kill you to get rid of that bloody ridiculous DeviantArt watermark. If you must stamp your signature on it, then don't do it all over the artwork!

I agree.

The watermark is ALL over the artwork, and the resolution is too small for the downloaded version to showcase the details of the work. And the added black border doesn't help at all.

f

Awww, its Misuzu-- My favorite character from my all time favorite series :)

She looks a little ghastly compared to what she looks like in the anime, but good job nonetheless.

f

I kind of wrote the highlight description in a rush, but wanted to comment as well and congratulate you on a wonderful piece. I think this is my first time highlighting a doujin. =P

f

This is simply amazing. I'm speechless- I think it's safe to say that you've redefined the meaning of excellence in our MT doujinshi gallery.

Quote: EDIT: Thanks a lot for the highlight, it seems original art gets a lot more attention here than it used to :) .

I agree :)

f

Ohhh I usually don't delve into the scan gallery much, but this is so gorgeous! I think this is my first fav from the scans gallery. :P

f

haha I came to take a look because the colors were so pretty, and found myself looking at this stunning piece! Congrats for a job very well done ^^

f

As firefly said, I also like the illusion of scales you've created with the varying colors. Too bad the paper seems to have become wrinkled because of the watercolor, if I'm interpreting those repeated vertical lines around the paper correctly. I also like the permeable contours--the way you haven't painted exactly within the lines--which I think works nicely with the idea of water and the fluid element of the piece. Good job-

f

I would gladly highlight this if there had been more than two words for your description. -_- Nevertheless, it is a beautiful piece. I'd say it's pretty evident that you spent most of your detailing on the face and its immediate periphery, and it would have been even better if you had put a bit more detail in the rest of the piece but it is very nice as is.

The face is lovely lovely lovely! It is quite exquisite. Nicely done.

f

Love the jeans and the hands. I must say though, it looks like she's in the process of morphing between anime and real life bodies.

f

omg this is so beautiful-- Love those colors and the warmth.. Not a lot of people seem capable of rendering such rich emotions. And it feels like i'm watching the image move~ ahhh so romantic!

f

oooh niice.. If EP didn't highlight this, I may have never seen it. =P This really caught my eye and got me to make my first gallery post in a while. I'd like to see the stock photo! And very nice job with the vectoring. I can't say I have any expert vector knowledge and thus cannot intelligently comment on it, but I know when I like something. :) Nice job.

f

Aww I wanted to make this my first highlight but the internet was too slow and when I checked again it was too late.. -_-

Anyway, this is simple and really beautiful~ Refreshing both in its concept and execution. I love love love the lips and the hair. ^^

f

Aww how cute ^^ Sorry I missed it until now! Thanks for the gift, I don't get them very often.. =) And why are you feeling bad? There will always be a next time, you know. Keep your eyes open!

f

It's nice to see that you've put a great deal of effort into this piece. I haven't watched Scryed and thus can't really speak for the character, but I do like the sense of the blowing wind that nicely complements the character's pose. I think what makes the tree a little odd is that the trunk appears to get thicker as it goes up, and the falling leaves could have been a little more dramatic (the leaves look like they're just falling, with not much of the wind coming from the left).

Anyway, this one caught my eye and so I came to comment. ^^ It's very nice of you to give this as a gift to your friend.

f

Nice job drawing Arina Tanemura's style, especially in the face. I think perhaps a little more delicacy in depicting the hair (it looks slightly scratchy right now) would improve its quality even further.

f

@_@ Wow I can't believe the road is made from scratch. The setting is perfect for the character, and very well-rendered. I particularly like the streetlights. :)

Something about the perspective is a little off imo. I think it's the street lines, or whatever they're called. At least on my screen, the single long line's width is slightly changing (coming from the upper left, gets thicker near the girl, and the light from the streetlamp sort of accentuating the thicker-ness -_-;; also, the width of the small segment of the single line on her right doesn't seem wide enough). Also, the width of the dashes (and the space between the dash and the line) are slightly varied as well. So near her head the gap is thinner (since it's closer it should be wider than in the back, assuming the lines on the road were accurately painted) partly because of the thickening single line. And the dashes appear slightly 'raised', if you know what I mean. The angles as of now look like they're around 45 degrees (to my eyes, I could be very wrong), but my eyes want to see them flattened a little more.

omg it looks like I'm bashing your wall, which is absolutely not the case - I actually put it on my desktop. It's so nice and soothing.. :)

f

Very pretty - the effects and color scheme is definitely eye candy. But I guess I can take issue with extraction in some places, and the comparatively lower quality of the scan to the background, which is very crisp and detailed. I like the interesting blend between the glittery prettiness in the color and the scan and the futuristic twist in the font and effects. Nice job ^^
